Beauty Boois is a genderqueer author, psychological counsellor, freelance writer, performance artist, and blogger.

 

They hold an Honours degree in Clinical Psychology as well as qualifications in Marketing Management, Yoga Psychology, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), International Human Rights and Women's Health.

Beauty is a Sex Positive, Sexual and Reproductive Rights (SRHR) activist and the founder of Holistic Education for Reproductive Rights and Sexual Health (HERRS) as well as the co-founder of the Voices for Choices and Rights Coalition (VCRC).

​

|Namgu's Escape Theory (UNAM Press, 2020), is their first novel and appeared on the Brittle Paper's 50 Notable African Books of 2020. 

​

They live on their family farm with their son and cat, and are currently working on their second novel.
