The Red Shelf

My people I am so pleased to announce that El Cheapo (aka me trying to spend as little money as possible whilst still making hella cute purchases) has stumbled across a quaint second hand clothing store called The Red Shelf. There is something so magical about even the air in the shop; perhaps the history held together in the fabric and finishing touches of some truly unique, previously owned but not worn out or torn down pieces of clothing, handbags, children’s toys and other precious trinkets that can be found in the store that all feels like an absolute steal to me. I got myself a robe, a bright red coat and a super fabulous floral dress that looks like it was sent to be with me from the hippie era (picture below)!! The staff were friendly, informative and super helpful, my only disappointment was in having to leave the magical store that occupies the Old Power Station to breathe in the air of normalcy once again. Do you know of any other second hand or vintage stores in Windhoek? I’d love to hear about your personal favs, for now, please indulge in the beauty of the store that I managed to capture on my phone, which doesn’t do the place justice but serves as a glimpse into the majestic little Red Shelf.
