Where to Stay in Koh Rong Sanloem: Eden Beach Resort

The bliss of tropical paradise is what I experienced when I traveled to Koh Rong Sanloem with my family in a resort with a name befitting to it's majestic features, Eden Beach Resort. Picture perfect and pristine Koh Rong Sanloem is situated on the South West Coast of Cambodia, only about 200 or so kilometers from Phnom Penh and a short ferry ride from Sihanoukville.

I was absolutely enthralled by the coastal white beach sands upon which much frolicking and sand castle construction took place. I marvelled at the cozy yet luxurious rooms that provided us with an extremely relaxing and restful experience, complete with stunning tropical garden views that boast the like of coconut and banana trees. My son and I stayed in a bungalow with a garden view and a private balcony, but the resort offers four different room types including a family unit, should your needs differ.

Eden Beach Resort is almost literally right on the crystal clear ocean water with only about 5 meters worth of snow white beach sand between the two. Various activities like fishing, snorkeling and kayaking are also available for guest - however those are dependent on the weather. And if it is possible to get bored at the resort (it's not) then you can take a mindful walk on the beach on the way to visit the stunning waterfall on the island like I did (because I love a good stroll and a great hike - not because I was bored). The restaurant offers delicious coconuts, a happy hour where you can enjoy the 'buy one get one free' special on fruity cocktails and beers from 3-6pm every day! Breakfast is included and the spread consists of everything from crispy bacon and eggs to the freshest tropical fruit.

We had fun switching up from swimming in the stunning swimming pool to the expansive ocean with plenty of relaxing moments listening to the sea speak and the sea shell chandeliers sing. Experiencing Eden Beach Resort was a truly magical experience that my family and I will cherish forever and I certainly look forward to visiting the resort and it's friendly staff again soon!
